I bought this Leanne Marshall dress for my upcoming October 2015 elopement ceremony that will be held out of state - I purchased it from BHLDN (online) in February 2015. I wanted something light, fun, lacy, and with a touch of vintage, and thought this dress was perfect. Plus, I was a fan of Leanne Marshall from her days on Project Runway! The entire body is made of a delicate and beautiful ivory alencon lace. The bodice has a scoop neck, a fitted waist and 1/2 length sleeves. The original list price for this item on BHLDN was $795.
Upon receiving, I fell in love with the lace, which has this stunning texture and detail, as seen in the additional details below. I held onto the dress while I planned other details, but kept having one detail of the dress nag me over time: it's tea length. So after the return period passed on this dress, I realized that I truly wanted a floor-length dress. That is why I have decided to sell this dress!
It is new with tags, and never worn besides trying it on at home a handful of times. It is smaller than a usual size 12, so be prepared! The tag on the inner 'lining' dress (which could be very cute to wear on it's own) is from BHLDN and notes that the dress is the "Ellie", which was the original name of the dress model; this is the official printed tag that is attached. However, this dress was also known as the "Tessa", and the one I received had an additional Anthropologie tag on the outer dress that was handwritten with "Tessa" (I suspect the store employee thought the tag had gone missing since it was on the inner liner! Though not sure why it has both store tags, though both companies are owned by Anthropologie).
The dress comes with the original champagne-colored sash, the outer (sheer) beautiful ivory, corded aloncon lace dress, and the interior thick but soft cotton slip/inner liner dress. I have also included the pink BHLDN tissue paper that I received, the original plastic bag I received the dress in (with stickers displaying the "Tessa" dress + item number + barcode), and a white dress bag that I purchased to store it in my closet. Please note that there are both cats and dogs in my home, though they have never come into contact with my dress.
